Pop In Newsletter March 2026

Every day at Pop In I am reminded of the incredible strength and resilience of the women and children we support. Their courage, determination, and hope inspire all of us to do more, reach further, and keep creating a safe, welcoming space where healing is possible.

At the same time, I am constantly amazed by the generosity of our community. Volunteers, donors, referral partners, and local businesses - you all show up in countless ways, big and small, to make a real difference in people’s lives. Every phone call answered, every program offered, and every act of support helps women and children feel seen, heard, and valued.

We have some incredible news to share below about the success of Dangerous Females T-Shirt campaign for Pop In. Movements and collaborations like this remind me why Pop In exists.

In the Wingecarribee, we stand alongside women one act of kindness at a time.

With gratitude,

Vicki Kelley
Chair and Co-Founder

Dangerous Females Raise $31K

A huge thank you to the incredible team at Dangerous Females and everyone who purchased a t-shirt to support Pop In.

Together, you raised an amazing $31,000. We could not be more grateful to have been chosen as their charity partner last year.

To the Dangerous Females community, thank you for everything you do to raise funds to create safer futures for women and children.

Keeping Kids Safe Online Workshop

On Friday 13th March Pop In hosted Federal Agent Matthew Fallon, Human Exploitation Community Officer from the Australian Federal Police who facilitated a workshop called ThinkUKnow - Keeping Kids Safe Online.

This workshop covered the following topics:

  • What children and/or young people see, say and do online

  • Privacy and preventing inappropriate contact

  • Online grooming

  • Self generating content

  • Imaged based abuse

  • Signs of online child sexual exploitation

  • How to take action

A Very Inspiring Breakfast

Last Friday, we were so lucky to spend our morning at the Southern Highlands IWD Breakfast, hosted by Wingecarribee Council. It was an inspiring morning with amazing speakers - Shruthi Palanisamy, Ange Clarke and Kylie Bucich - where we explored this year’s theme, Balance the Scales.

At Pop In, this is what we aim to achieve every day: providing women with dignity, support and care for as long as they need. We are so grateful to be surrounded by our Wingecarribee community, who help us achieve this goal.

Thank you to everyone who generously donated to the pantry drive at the IWD Breakfast.

Thank You to Three Amazing Artists

On 12th March, three incredible Australian artists kindly donated pieces of their artwork to auction, with all funds going directly to Pop In.

Acts of generosity like this continue to amaze us and leave us feeling deeply grateful for our amazing community of support.

A massive thank you to Richard Allen, for donating FacesConnor Plummer for Boy Jumping Over Fence and Tanya Kauffman for Evening Glow.

Connor Plummer’s You & I exhibition is on display at the Berida Hotel until 6th April. The exhibition is open to the public, offering a chance to view the artworks, meet Connor, and discuss commissions.

A Garden Party to Remember

Thank you to Skye Leckie OAM and Jonathon Barnes Plumbing for hosting the most magical garden party in support of Pop In.

We are so grateful for the generosity and spirit of our Highlands community, it’s your support that keeps our doors open and allows us to continue showing up for those who need us most.

An evening filled with connection, kindness, and community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it so special.

A Special Community Thank You

We have a special community champions acknowledgement this month. We would like to warmly thank the first responders and local businesses who kindly assisted us recently.

Their support highlights the strength and kindness of our wonderful Wingecarribee community, one that we are very grateful to be a part of.

Make an Impact in 2026

Our new regular giving program offers donation options as little as $15 a month, which may not seem a lot, but it all adds up to make a huge difference and the biggest impact.
