Pop In Newsletter January 2026
As we step into a new year, at Pop In we pause to reflect on what we have achieved and our hopes and plans for the year ahead. Guided by our strong commitment to walk alongside women and children with compassion and support to create pathways toward safety, independence and a future on their own terms.
In 2025, we achieved so much:
We strengthened our connections with other service providers, local businesses and communities to raise awareness and build the networks needed to provide a community of support for those in need;
We worked with 275 women and children, providing intense case work and programmes designed to build connections;
We honoured the passing of 62 women and 23 children across Australia who had lost their lives to DV throughout 2025;
We were overwhelmed with donations to our pantry from a variety of individuals, businesses and community groups;
Our service model was validated by the University of Wollongong as “best practice” to dealing with DV and abuse; and
We built a strong, skilled case work and board team.
In the year ahead we will continue to raise awareness and remind every woman who reaches out that she is not alone. We will continue to provide our invaluable services.
We will also:
Strengthen community capability, providing individuals, organisations and the broader community with the knowledge and tools to stand against domestic violence and abuse;
Enhance our Service Hub, renovating and extending our Kirkham Street premises to enable us to expand the delivery of programs within our hub; and
Engage men and boys, undertaking initial research and consultation to inform a best-practice approach to bring them into the conversation.
For all members of our community , our hope for 2026 is for safety, kindness, understanding and brighter days ahead.

Do you know the signs?
Domestic violence is not always obvious, and no relationship begins with abuse. However, there are some early warning signs to be aware of.
Thank You to Our Amazing Community
Towards the end of last year we received an overwhelming amount of support and donations from some incredible community champions.
A huge thank you to Ray White Bowral, Oxley College, Bundanoon Lions Club, Spoilt Hairdressing, Moss Vale Golf Club, Komatsu Southern Highlands, Harper Collins Publishing and JLuxe Hair Studio your contributions helped keep our pantry fully stocked and brought joy to children at Christmas with thoughtful gifts.
Your kindness reminds us that together, we can create safer, brighter futures for everyone in our community.
Christmas Gift Appeal Success
This Christmas, our community showed up in the most powerful way...Thanks to your generosity, 35 families and 67 children received gifts or pantry donations that spread a little Christmas magic into the homes of those who need it most - support that’s still making a difference as the school year begins.
Thank you for your help to make a real difference.
