Pop In Newsletter September 2025
One of Pop In’s core goals is to interrupt the cycle of intergenerational domestic violence and that begins with recognising the unique needs of children.
Research shows that childhood exposure to violence can shape everything from brain development and mental health to education, housing, relationships, and parenting across a lifetime.
Yet children are still too often treated as passive bystanders, not as co-survivors with their own path to healing.
At Pop In, we ask a vital question: What services truly work to support recovery for the long haul? Our answer is a model rooted in trust, consistency, and care:
Early intervention built on attachment and safety;
Long-term, intensive support that isn’t crisis-driven;
A relational approach centred on connection, not throughput;
Community engagement and a sense of belonging.
As Danielle Jenkins, Program Lead at Anglicare’s Supporting Recovery, says:
“Through our partnership, we have witnessed firsthand the positive impact that Pop In's programs have had on vulnerable families within the Wingecarribee community.”
We’ve also made it easier than ever to support Pop In through our new monthly giving program. By donating regularly, you help us plan ahead and provide more stable support for women and children in our community. 🩵
And finally, some exciting news, we’re honoured to be included in VidZero’s “100 Videos for 100 Charities” campaign, helping organisations like ours tell powerful stories that drive change. (More on that below!)
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support helps make safety a reality.
With gratitude,
Vicki Kelley

Connecting clients to secure safe accomodation
We are not a crisis accommodation service.
We co-ordinate all the moving parts a women needs when she's experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
We find the right service and the right step in the process, we co-ordinate these steps that women have to take. We prepare meals to enable her to spend her time getting help.
We advocate for them. We walk alongside them. That's what we do.

Pop In's 3rd Annual Golf Day
The Golf Day was a huge success! Thanks to our incredible sponsors, volunteers, players, and hosts who made it such a special day.
Together, we raised vital funds to support women and children impacted by domestic violence. Check out the scoreboard and see photos from the day on our website.
New Regular Giving Programme
Sadly, we are seeing more women and children reaching out for help. While the need is growing, so is our commitment to be there. Now more than ever, we are calling on our community to stand with us.
Our new Regular Giving program makes it simple to support Pop In on an ongoing basis. You choose the monthly amount, and together we will create lasting change.
It costs $3,700 to support one woman through Pop In for a year. Your monthly gift, no matter the size, helps us provide safety, stability, and hope.
