Pop In Newsletter November 2025
As we enter the festive season, I find myself reflecting deeply on why Pop In exists and why our work matters so profoundly. Across Australia this year, 58 women and 22 children have lost their lives to gender-based violence. Each one represents a story that should have continued - a life that deserved safety and love.
This month marks the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, beginning on Tuesday 25 November, which also coincides with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. I encourage you to visit our website to discover ways you can get involved and stand alongside us in saying no more.
We would also love to see you at our Light the Night event on Thursday 27 November at the Briars Inn - a beautiful evening of remembrance and hope. If you’d like to show additional support, you can sponsor a lantern and help us light up the night.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Boots and Blazers lunch, together we raised over $100,000 for Pop In. Your generosity continues to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of women and children in our community.
As Christmas approaches, we’re once again reaching out to those who would like to donate a gift for a child who may not otherwise experience the joy of the season. Gifts for all ages are appreciated - please give us a call, email or visit our social media pages to find out more.
From all of us at Pop In, thank you for walking beside us, we are creating a community where safety and kindness always shine through.
With gratitude,
Vicki Kelley
